Even if the weather was dull & grey on that morning the whole strand was "lit up" with great good humour, colour and joie de vivre as nearly 300 people wended their way across Dorrins strand to Coney Island.

Adults, children, babies in buggies, and more than a few older people too.

Well done everybody. The big numbers were a great boost to the campaign to save Dorrins & Cummeen Strand.
